Reasons to give Thanks! (A Thanksgiving recap!)

C and I have a lot to be grateful for:

• We married each other -- marriage it's fantastic!
• We have very supportive families, who love us.
• We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
• We have wonderful jobs that have helped us learn and grow.
• We have a beautiful home that keeps us safe and warm.
• We have the financial means to visit family.

This Thanksgiving we headed to California to meet up with C's parents and sister to visit his grandparents. We had a lovely trip. We visited C's grandparents for a few days. C and I have recently taken an interest in family history, and C learned a lot this trip from his grandfather about their family history. His grandfather sent us copies of pictures and a handwritten copy of the prized Cloud peanut butter fudge recipe from C's great-great grandmother. We enjoyed our visit with C's family.

While we were close to Sacramento we took the opportunity to keep our "visit-a-new-temlpe-per-trip" tradition alive and visit the Sacramento Temple. It is a smaller, but spectacular temple! The temple grounds are like a open space park. When we arrived there were dear and wild turkey's roaming the grounds, it was cool.


Before we left California was spent some time in San Francisco, man we love that city! C's mom and dad showed us the Ferry Building. I couldn't help but take tons of pictures, the sites, sounds, and smells were incredible! Enjoy some of the sites:
