"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" . . . well kind of

December came and went all too quickly! After we returned from Thanksgiving our task was to get our house decked out for Christmas. Inside we put up the tree, the nativity, and a garland. Outside Chris covered the bushes with soft white LED lights - which didn't even put a dent in our power usage for the month. I made a wreath to hang on the front door and we called it good for this year! Have a look . . .

As the Christmas cards came we taped them up on the back of the front door-an old tradition I loved while growing up. The first time I taped up the cards the tape wasn't very sticky. So in the middle of the night C wakes me up in a panic and says "Someone's in the house, come on!" I look at him in my stouper and say, "What are we going to do if we find someone?" He responded, "I don't know, just come on!" (C interjects here-I did know, and it would not have been pretty.). At this point he's on the way out of the bedroom with a large mag light in hand (the one made from steel and has 6 "D" batteries in it), when I remember the cards on the front door. Sure enough a few of the cards had fallen down and managed to wake my dear husband! Needless to say we changed the tape to keep the tradition alive and C asleep!

Until next time we're on Cloud 9!
