On September 5th we celebrated our first anniversary! It was fantastic. C surprised me with a fabulous dinner at the Capitol Grill in Dallas. This place was top notch. C made reservations and told them that it was our first anniversary. They went all out for us. The food was delicious, a definite 2 thumbs up. We ordered dessert (the best cheesecake we've ever eaten) and when they brought it out it said "Happy Numero Uno!" It was that special touch that made the evening. Our weekend was relaxing and we loved spending it together.
There are so many things that I love about my husband . . . He is so nice to me! (I realize that sounds kind of silly, but I know some husbands who are not very nice to their wives.) He honors the priesthood and leads our family righteously. He is such a hard worker, and helps make my life easier! He frequently does things that make me go "ahhh you're sweet." I'm looking forward to spending the rest of eternity with him. Needless to say he's fantastic!

C's turn: I love my wife more each day, I can't believe that it's been a year already! She is amazing, and I can't imagine being married to anyone else. I am very blessed to spend my life with my best friend.

Enough with the mushy-gushy . . . Labor Day we worked in the yard. I used my anniversary bush trimmer to get our front bushes in check. Yes, I'm am my father's daughter and enjoy a power tool or two.

So even after a year, we're still on Cloud 9!
