We're Slackers #1 - Thanksgiving

A good friend of mine in back in high school would say, "Excuses are like belly buttons, everyone has one." Here's ours: we work 40+ hours a week and are bums after we get home, blogging hasn't taken A#1 priority. So with that excuse off our chests, here's an update on our lives . . . starting from where we left off.

November we headed to California to spend Thanksgiving with C's fam. When we got to San Francisco (one of our new favorite cities) we went to the bay and had lunch at this fabulous little restaurant. Then we went on our Segway tour of the city. It was fantastic! We would highly recommend it as it is a unique way to see the city. After our tour C and I received our Ph.D.'s in Segway and are now qualified for the Lombard Street advanced tour! Before we left the city we painfully made a stop at Ghirardelli Square and took a little sampling!

After a night in San Francisco we headed to Placerville (in our lovely Prius - which we both loved) to spend a few days with C's grandparents. C enjoyed chatting with the most tech savvy member of the fam, his 85+ year old grandfather! We had a good time playing cards and watching football.

Then we headed down to Oakland to have another Thanksgiving dinner with the other side of the family, which was enjoyable. It was the first time most of the extended family got to see us married.

We had a chance to spend some time at the Oakland LDS Temple. C and I decided before we were married that when we travel we want to take some time and visit a new temple whenever we can, and take our picture in front it. Oakland was an excellent start to that tally.

We left Cali on a red-eye and headed back to Dallas!

Stay tuned for the Christmas update!

Until next time, we're living on Cloud 9!
